Alaska Right To Life is pleased to announce our endorsement of former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee for President. Gov. Huckabee has a long track record of supporting pro-life legislation. He is the only top tier candidate who is genuinely committed to fighting for the sanctity of human life.
In the January 17th Alaska Right To Life board meeting, Gov. Huckabee reiterated his strong support for a human life amendment to the U.S. Constitution, he said, "...[you] can't have fifty versions of what one person can do to another... [it's] not a political issue, it is a moral issue."
It is critical that every pro-life Alaskan vote on February, 5th, for Gov. Mike Huckabee.
On "Super Tuesday", February 5th, 2008 between the hours of 4:30pm- 8:30pm Alaskan Pro-Lifers can go to
their Presidential Preference Polling place (listed below) and vote their pro-life conscience. This vote will have
a binding effect on the delegates from Alaska to the Republican national convention where the Republican Party will
nominate it's candidate for president.
PLEASE participate in the process.
Also, on February 5th and 9th, pro-lifers can pay a fee of $10-$35 and participate in their Republican District Convention (listed below). At the District Convention, among other things, Republicans can compete to become a Delegate to the State Convention ($225 for a Delegate $200 Alternate Delegate) where Delegates to the National Convention are selected.

Alaska 2008 Presidential Preference Vote - February 5
Cathy Giessel, Vice Chair, Alaska Republican Party
The Alaska Republican Party will hold its 2008 Presidential Preference Vote on "Super Tuesday", February 5, 2008.
Polls will be open for several hours in the evening that day, in districts around the state. All Registered Republicans will be eligible to vote for their choice of candidate for President. There will also be an option to vote "Unpledged"(Undecided).
Alaska will send 26 Pledged Delegates-at-large to the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, MN, September 1-4, 2008, along with 3 RNC Member Delegates, for a total of 29 Alaska Delegates. This gives Alaska 2 percent of the Delegates attending the National Convention, and just one Delegate less than Connecticut, Oregon or West Virginia. In fact, 16 states and territories have fewer National delegates than Alaska.
The Alaska Presidential Preference Vote will determine the number of Delegates pledged to vote for each of the Presidential candidates, or as "Unpledged" Delegates, during the nominations at the National Convention. Presidential candidates, Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Ron Paul, Fred Thompson, and Duncan Hunter have qualified for the Alaska ballot by collecting petition signatures and submitting a filing fee. The deadline for Presidential candidates to place their names on the Presidential Preference ballot is January 5th, 2008.
For more information, go to http://www.alaskarepublicans.com or call the Alaska Republican Party office at 276-4467.

All Alaskans are invited to register at their district conventions and participate in this process.
DELEGATES TO THE STATE CONVENTION AND THEIR ALTERNATES SHALL BE ELECTED IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER:
