A small group of brave parents in Anchorage have been quietly working to remove the Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) from the Anchorage Libraries – primarily the Loussac Public Library.

They’re attending the January 15th Anchorage Assembly Meeting at 5 PM. You can attend or stream live below.

The DQSH website says the reading programs target 3 – 8 year olds. In fact, there’s more:

Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.

During the session they promote and sell books like:

Where kids learn how to…

And make friends with “Sonya Side Up…”

Dear Anchorage Municipal Assembly,

While grown adults have the freedom and mental capacity to either argue or accept the moral and ethical nature of what’s presented to them, children generally do not. Forcing those children into situations that groom them into homosexual and gender confused lifestyles is dangerous and abusive.

The indisputable ties between homosexual lifestyles, gender transition, and suicide make these issue serious life issues that must be dealt with appropriately.

The Drag Queen Story Hour must not be permitted in any Anchorage libraries or any other public building because the ties between the homosexual and gender transition lifestyles and suicide are clear and undeniable. Grooming children for these lifestyles when they have no way of forming or defending healthy lifestyle arguments is dangerous and abusive.
