In the Spring of 1621, less than 6 months after arriving at Plymouth, the Mayflower set sail for England, leaving the Pilgrims alone after a brutal winter, disease, and their transatlantic voyage had decimated their colony.

“But you, Israel, My servant,
Jacob whom I have chosen,
Seed of Abraham My friend,
You whom I have strongly taken hold of from the ends of the earth,
And called from its remotest parts
And said to you, ‘You are My servant,
I have chosen you and not rejected you.
Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will make you mighty, surely I will help you;
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

You whom I have strongly taken hold of from the ends of the earth,

After fewer than six months of God’s amazing provision, Governor Bradford declared a day of public Thanksgiving in October 1621.
Wampanoag Chief Massasoit was invited and brought an unexpected 90 Indians with him. God provided more than they needed; in addition to the bountiful harvest the Pilgrims enjoyed that year, the Wampanoag Indians brought five dressed deer and at least 12 fat wild turkeys.
As they began the Thanksgiving festival, William Brewster thanked God for providing all their needs, for the lives of the departed – and for taking them home to Heaven, for their friendship with the Wampanoag Indians, and for all of His remarkable providences that brought them to Plymouth and continued to sustain them.

Today, in the middle of countless difficulties: election losses, pro-abortion constitutional amendments, and near total indifference to the plight of babies in Alaska’s Legislative and Executive Offices, we still have so much to thank God for.
I, for one, thank God for you. Regardless of your role, where you labor in the battle, even which side of the fight for life that you’re on: I thank God for you.
As William Brewster turned to Isaiah 48, so should we.

Even though Roe v Wade is in the dustbin of history, the abortion industry is ramping up its efforts here in Alaska with more chemical abortions than we’ve ever seen along with more abortion advocates in the Legislature than at any time in Alaska’s history.
We will fight to protect babies until every child is ensured the right to life, equal protection, and equal justice as both God and our Constitution require.
This is where you come in.
With lives hanging in balance, I hope you will sign this urgent pledge and commit to stand for life!
