A Lifeline for Babies & Their Moms
FULL-TIME MINISTRY TO MOMS
“Baby Daddy left, what can you do for me” were the first words out of her mouth as she walked towards the Anchorage Planned Parenthood abortion facility. “I’ve been couch surfing for three months, and I’m getting kicked out again. You got a place for me and my baby?”
She talked tough, and she looked tough. But inside she was a scared young woman, barely 20 years old.
She was alone in her struggle. Her baby’s father disappeared – left the state. She was alienated from her family. Nobody would help her them beyond a couch to sleep on for a few nights.
Thankfully, she wasn’t talking to an abortion advocate, but a Pro-Life Counselor just outside of Planned Parenthood. She was on her way into the abortion facility for her first abortion appointment when the two Pro-Life Counselors called out to her before she went inside.
After a few minutes of showing they cared about her and her baby, and that they could help her, she agreed to skip her abortion appointment and visit the local Pro-Life Pregnancy Resource Center where they affirmed her decision to keep and parent her baby.
Not all the women we talk to outside Planned Parenthood change their minds and choose life for their babies like this, but 8 out of 10 pregnant moms who meet with Pro-Life Counselors like this mother did, choose LIFE for their babies!
Over the years we’ve deployed teams of Pro-Life Counselors outside of every Planned Parenthood abortion facility in the state. Alaska Right to Life members and friends celebrated the Soldotna Planned Parenthood closure in May of 2022 after three years of serving mothers and protecting babies.
It’s time to take our ministry to pregnant moms and their babies to the next level. Sure, we closed a Planned Parenthood abortion facility. Sure, we’ve served thousands of moms. Sure, we’ve seen countless babies saved over the years.
We’re at a crucial point and it’s time to go all in for babies and their moms.
A POLITICAL SOLUTION TO ABORTION IS YEARS AWAY
A political solution to abortion is still years away. Babies and their moms don’t have years. Every second matters and these families are counting on us.
We’re not going to let them down. We’re recruiting for a full-time ministry leader in Anchorage to train and organize an army of men and women to serve moms and their babies when and where they most desperately need it: as they approach Planned Parenthood’s abortion facilities.
For thousands of pregnant moms, an abortion at Planned Parenthood is the only option they know of. We must be there to meet them at their most desperate moment.
