1,246 babies were killed by abortion in 2022. Of those, 546 babies’ deaths were paid for by the State of Alaska.

Approximately 213 more babies were carried out of state to be killed by late term abortions in 2022. Those babies’ deaths were also made possible by the payments and travel expenses funded by the State of Alaska.

The budget the House Majority just passed contains the same abortion funding provisions as last year’s budget, guaranteeing Alaskans will continue to pay every abortion invoice Planned Parenthood submits.

FACT Republicans in the House Majority are claiming this is a pro-life budget even though it guarantees Alaskans will be forced to pay for hundreds of babies to be killed.

FACT The abortion funding provision is nearly identical to the provisions in the past 20 budgets. Not a single tax payer funded abortion has ever been prevented by Republican budget gimmicks.

FACT Speaker Tilton and House Majority Members defended their baby killing budget against two amendments that may have protected babies from being killed by taxpayer funded abortions.
