ENCOURAGE YOUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES TO SIGN THE LETTER TODAY

Dear Governor Dunleavy,
When you signed House Bill 39 into law on July 8, 2019, you committed yourself to deal with the reality that paying for abortion was no longer legal, as we see in Section 1 that:
No money appropriated in this appropriation may be expended for an abortion that is not a mandatory service required under AS 47.07.030(a).
Therefore, we are writing to ask that this policy, passed by the Alaska Legislature on June 10, 2019, and signed into law on July 8, 2019, be implemented immediately. We understand there are organizations who will stridently oppose any reduction to abortions in this state, and we want you to know that you have our full support to implement this law and put an end to the use of Alaska taxpayer dollars for these purposes.
